Summit Afterschool Program

Summit Afterschool Care is a licensed program with the NYS Office of Children and Family Services and offered by Parkside Church where your kids receive high quality care at an affordable price, both during the school year and the summer months.

We believe this is a personal choice to be made by each child's parent(s) and/or guardian(s) separate from the decision to take part in the care we offer during the school year and summer months.

Summer Camp

The Summer @ Summit
Full Day Camp

Day/Time: Monday thru Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm, All Summer
Location: 14 Jarose Place (off Grooms Road just 1 mile west of I-87 exit 8a)
Cost: $140 per week
That's only $28 per day!

With a spacious, state of the art building, large and safe grounds on which to play, an organized curriculum of activities, and most importantly, a caring and experienced staff who realize the importance of an exciting, creative and active camp environment, Summit will turn an otherwise good summer into a great one for you and your kids!

Participation in Parkside's Vacation Bible Camp, which also takes place during the summer, is optional.

Registering for Summer Camp

Girls running in park We are now taking registrations for our Summit Summer Camp. To register, simply download the registration packet, read through each document, and return the following items before June 10th:

Summer Camp Registration Form (3 pages)
Sunscreen Permission Form
NYS - OFCS Day Care Registration Card
Deposit - check or cash

To return these items, you can drop by Parkside Church during our afterschool care hours of 2:30pm -5:30pm, Monday-Friday. Please ring bell for entrance to the facility. Or, you can send them to Parkside Church, 14 Jarose Place, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065.

Participate in enrichment activities
Have a structured time to complete their homework

Summit Afterschool Care Enrichment Activities

Kids with hands in center At Summit, all of the enrichment activities are aimed at giving kids the opportunity to discover new skills and grow in their abilities. The enrichment time will include activities such as an introduction on how to play guitar, drums, and other instruments, basic self-defense techniques, learning a foreign language, and more. No religious instruction takes place at Summit. We believe this is a personal choice to be made by each child's parent and/or guardian separate from the decision to take part in Summit Afterschool Care. All enrichment activities are optional and there will always be an alternate activity provided. Summit is simply a safe and wholesome place that your kids will look forward to each day and where they will grow to reach new heights!

Afterschool Transportation to Summit Afterschool Care

Since Summit Afterschool Care is a NYS licensed program, your children can take the school bus directly to our facility! Transportation is available from all Shenendehowa schools except Chango Elementary.

Enrolling at Summit

We are now taking enrollments for 2011-2012 school year. To enroll, simply download the enrollment packet, read through each document, and return the following items:

Student Enrollment Agreement (2 pages)
NYS - OFCS Day Care Registration Card
Deposit for first week - check or cash

A Special Summit Summer Camp/After School Care Offer

Along with your summer camp registration, if you sign your child up for Summit Afterschool Care for the 2011-2012 school year, you'll receive one month of afterschool care for free! That's a $220 value! Plus, you'll have the peace of mind knowing that your afterschool care needs for the 2012 school year are taken care of. Some restrictions apply.
